Lois leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lois’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Lois will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ray Stancel; her daughter Margie Stancel; and her grandson Charlie Stancel. She is survived by: her children, Johnny Stancel (Patsy) of Sumrall, MS, Lee Roy Stancel of Sumrall, MS, Robert Stancel of Sumrall, MS, Kelly Stancel (Roxie) of Sumrall, MS and JoBeth Lott (Van) of Collins, MS; and her brother Mike Mardis (Peggy) of Port Charlotte, FL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Stancel Family Cemetery (605 Munn Rd, Sumrall, MS 39482).
