It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Edwin Davis Jr. of Sumrall, Mississippi, who passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Thomas departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Thomas may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Thomas leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas E. Davis and Julia T. Davis; and his brother Dale Wayne Davis. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Edwin Davis, III (Amie) of Sumrall, MS, Reggie Davis (Wendy) of Kokomo, MS and Dana Davis (Kevin) of Seminary, MS; his siblings, Patricia Lafontaine (Tommy) of Lake Shore, MS, Linda Ginn (Jimmy) of Columbia, MS and Darrell Davis (Tammy) of Seminary, MS; and the mother of his children Elizabeth "Liz" Davis of Sumrall, MS. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
