She is survived by: her children, Brenda Sewell Shumpert (Tom) and Jackson Lamar Sewell Jr. (Ellen); her grandsons, John David Shumpert (Breanna) and James Jackson Shumpert (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Caleb Thomas Shumpert (Bekah) and Charles Oakley Shumpert; her great great grandchild Barrett John Shumpert (Caleb); and her brother Robert Eugene Hooker.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holland Funeral Directors (5281 Cliff Gookin Blvd, Tupelo, MS 38801). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel (5281 Cliff Gookin Blvd, Tupelo, MS 38801).
