He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Ann Barnard Reese; his parents, Emily Jo Harper Dove and James Dove; his grandparents, Elizabeth Key Harper and Locke Harper; his in-laws, Vera Fern Barnard and William B. Barnard; and his pet Sadie.
