He is survived by: his wife Caryn Gordon Verell of Pontotoc; his son Robert Gene Verell (Lisa Draper Verell) of Nolensville; his grandchildren, Hailey and Jasper Verell; and his sisters, Cara Joyce Chisolm (Glen) of Houston and Barbara Gayle Kilgore of Houston.
