He is survived by : his fiancée Mary Heard; his children, Natalia "Punkin" Thornton and Christopher Robert Thornton II (Christian); and his grandchildren, Caydence and Tylonee Thornton. He is also survived by extended family including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 PM at the Palmetto C. M. E. Church.
