He was predeceased by: his wife Jimmie Lou Chism; and his parents, Earl Hester and Mildred Hester. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Hester (Carolyn), Lisa Roberts (Mike), Deana Patrick and Mary Patton (Anthony); his grandchildren, Melanie Floyd, Greg White (Christi), Lauren Trimble (Taylor), Kristen Patton, Amy Giorgenti (Nick), Savannah Hester, Ciara Hester, Miranda Hester and Trece Gonzalez; his great grandchildren, Makenzie Floyd, Landon Floyd, Isabella White Smith (Bradley), Sierra White, Skylar Floyd, Jonathan Floyd, Maggie Trimble, Arianna Giorgenti, Brianna Giorgenti, Cadyn Gonzalez and Kane Gonzalez; and his sisters-in-law, Patsy Washington (Wayne) and Peggy Hayes. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
