She was predeceased by: her parents, James Burress Smith and Lottie Mary McNutt Smith; and her husband Malone Merritt. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Tally (Jeff) of Saltillo, Kathy McLaurin (Jeff) of Saltillo and Alan Merritt (Yvonne) of Saltillo; and her grandchildren, Jim Tally (Michael Ann) of Saltillo, Lance Tally (Kasey) of Mooreville, Russ Tally (Leslie) of Saltillo, Rachel Fischer (Jacob) of Amory, Tyler McLaurin (Sarah) of Guntown, Justin Merritt (Leanna) of Pontotoc and Jill Ausborn (Rusty) of Saltillo. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
