She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Louis and Myrtle Buchanan Ivy; her husband Joe Mitchell; her daughters, Mary Berry and Nora Jean Mitchell (ML Pulliam); her son-in-law Arthur Gordon; and her siblings, Willie T Ivy, Cleora Crayton, Eugene Ivy and Elizabeth Snow.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Wright (David), Loretta Gordon and Louis Mitchell; her siblings, Essie Mcclendon, Pearlie Steveson, Stella Smith (Jerome), Earlene Ivy, Ressia Clark (Dennis), Tommie Ivy, John Ivy (Stacy), Harvey Ivy (Martha), James Robert Ivy and Bobby Ivy (Lois Ann); her son-in-law Charles Berry; and her close friends, Mattie Davidson, Billy Hamilton and Silas Graham (Jessie). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
