He is survived by: his children, Jaqueline Shumpert, Crystal Morris, Bernadette Mathis McCurry, Chandra Spight, Craig Mathis and Corey Mathis; and his siblings, Joe Ralph Mathis and Hattie Mathis.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Truth Trinity Ministry (1644 S Eason Blvd, Tupelo, MS 38801). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
