He is survived by : his wife Lynda Bennett Wildmon; his children, Tim Wildmon (Alison) of Tupelo, Angela Wildmon of Tupelo, Donna Wildmon Clement (Neal) of Tupelo and Mark Wildmon (Virginia) of Tupelo; his sister Louise Yancey; his grandchildren, Wriley Wildmon Freeman (Wil), Wesley Wildmon (Chelsea), Neal Clement (Samantha), Walker Wildmon (Lexie), Drew Clement (Briley) and Blake Clement; his great grandchildren, Abbi Freeman of Tupelo, Hardin Davis of Tupelo, Emerson Anne Davis of Tupelo, Bennett Wildmon of Tupelo, Landry Wildmon of Tupelo, Anna Wesley Wildmon of Tupelo, Luke Wildmon of Tupelo, Samuel Wildmon of Tupelo, Andrew Wildmon of Tupelo, Isaac Wildmon of Tupelo and Alden Clement of Thompson Station, Tennessee; and his siblings-in-law, Tamra Durham (Larry) of Tupelo and Kelly Bennett (Tessie) of Belmont, Mississippi..
Don was honored by Friend Ships in 2014, a ministry which uses ships to transport donated supplies and medicine to needy countries, with the Friend Ships Humanitarian Award for his lifetime of achievements and in honor of the "dreams, visions and accomplishments of this man of God who has stayed the course" in building an impactful ministry.
