He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Garner and Helen Juanita Hutcheson Garner. He is survived by: his siblings, Emily Garner of Tupelo and James Emory Garner (Beverly) of Jackson; and his uncles, Herbert Alan Garner (Deborah) and Wesley Earl Hutcheson, Jr. (Angela).
