He is survived by: his wife Annie Lee Staples of Verona, Mississippi; his children, Bernice Staples of Shannon, Mississippi, Chandra Pannell (Orlando) of Tupelo, Mississippi, Tawana Agnew (William) of Baldwyn, Mississippi, Cassandra Jackson (Jeffrey) of Aberdeen, Mississippi and Samuel Staples of Plantersville, Mississippi; and his siblings, Carolyn Martin and Floyd Staples. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
