The memory of Erma B. Newell (Tupelo, Mississippi), who passed away on March 13, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband William Newell (O. T.); her son Eddie Dean Shaffer; her brothers, Laver, Homer, Havis, Travis, Roy and Wayne Brooks; and her grandson Colter Shaffer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pam Bowman (Jim), Cindy Berryhill (Lucas) and Vicky Porter of Belden; her sister Margurette Robison of Tupelo; her grandsons, Michael Bowman of Gainesville, Matt Lavender of Tupelo and Adam Bowman of Knoxville, Tennessee; and her great grandchildren, Kiara, Hudson and Leighton Shaffer.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues (535 W Jefferson St, Tupelo, MS 38804). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
