He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Wilson Blount and Hazel Annabelle Wakeland Blount; and his siblings, Duane Wakeland (Jerri), Alvin Blount, Jr. (Janie) and Myra Joe Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Blount; his children, Jennifer Perez (Victor), Cristil Blount-Miranda (Rigoberto), Levi Blount (Kendra), Victor Biederbeck (Brinley), Sam Schulz (Kimberly), Jeff Schulz (Brandy) and Markcolas "Mark" Schulz; his grandchildren, Gene Guadarrama (Jade), Phillip "Alex" Guadarrama (Michelle), Lilly Ortega, Sophia Ortega, Michael Hidalgo (Cindy), Pedro Hidalgo, Elizabeth Hidalgo, Violet Biederbeck, Elliott Biederbeck, Kierstin Hester (Will), Paris Clark, Zachari Clark, Kennedy Schulz, Bryson Schulz (Brianna Sanders) and Allyson Lindsey (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Jade Campbell-Seal, Nova Guadarrama, Beckham Schulz and Harrison Lindsey; and his sisters, Leatrice Henry (Jim), Patricia McDonald and Lynn Woodridge (Kenny).
