With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gill Simmons (Tupelo, Mississippi), who passed away on January 4, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Josh Simmons and Bertha Simmons; his siblings, Milton Simmons, Sterling Simmons, Bill Simmons, Nadine Jones, Jo Ann Newman, Janette Arnold, Dorothy Smith and Betty Westmorland; and his daughter Robin Renee Simmons.
He is survived by: his children, Marcus Gill Simmons and Dana Denise Haguewood (Scott); his granddaughters, Simmons Renee Haadsma (David) and Sara Scott Harrelson (Austin); and his great grandchildren, David Kent Haadsma III, Miller Louise Haadsma and George Scott Haadsma.
