She was predeceased by: her parents, Tilton Cloyse and Jewell Cozy Vernon Reed; her husband Walter Thompson; her sons, John Walter Thompson and James Floyd Thompson; and her brother Mickey Reed.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry L. Card (Edward) and William G. Thompson (Blair) of West Point; her grandchildren, Sara Dudley Thompson of Oxford and Walter Card (Rachel) of West Point; her great grandchildren, Elena Lynn Card of Illinois, Edward Jay Card of West Point, Michael Ace Card of Hamilton and Warren Lane Card of Vernon; her sister Shirley Thompson (Roy) of West Point; her sister-in-law Donna Reed of West Point; and her close friend Nicky Spencer of West Point. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chickasaw Memorial Garden Cemetery (1500 MS-8, Houston, MS 38851).
