She is survived by: her children, Nieshay Garmon and Tavares Salters; her grandchildren, Marquis King (Aaliyah Sherrod), Tylon Garmon (Tajanae) and Didymus Garmon; her great grandchildren, Kylar, Kyzen and Kaislyn King; and her siblings, Floyd Hodges (Delores), Janneth Hodges and Terry Hodges. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews; and her church family, colleagues, and friends.
After retiring from her career in retail services, Gwen worked at Community Development Foundation (CDF), where she made a lasting impression on all who walked through CDF's doors.
