He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Walter Franklin and Dollie Ellen Gean Franklin; and his siblings, Herschel Franklin, Dot Causey, Geraldine Monoghan and Hazel Street.
He is survived by: his children, Hank Franklin (Michele) of Houston, Mark Franklin (Mary Beth) of Starkville and Laurie Franklin of Birmingham, Alabama; his grandchildren, Camon Franklin, Rob Franklin (Rachael), Baxter Price, Trey Franklin and Ollie Franklin; his great grandchildren, Henry Franklin and Isabel Franklin; and his sister Virginia Miller.
