He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucian Whiteside and Maudine Nichols Whiteside. He is survived by: his daughters, Peggy Cayson, Jackie Whiteside and Santana Young; and his siblings, Lizzie Whiteside, Minnie Tucker, Lawrence Whiteside (Willie Celeste), Joenation Whiteside (Jessie Louise) and Willie Whiteside. He is also survived by several grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
