He was predeceased by: his father Cleveland Richard Joyner; his wife Laura "Leola" Joyner; his sons, Robert "Bubba" Cleveland and Donald Perrigo, Sr.; his father Zethra Joyner; his siblings, Gussie Spicer, Bertha Bobbitt, Birdie Bobbitt, Wilbur Joyner, Morris Lee Joyner, Henry Joyner, Vance Joyner, Herschel Joyner and Willard Joyner; and his grandchildren, Amy Perrigo, Crystal Edwards, Brian Pitts and Bobby Pitts.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda Bomar of Hernando, Rita Harlow of Tupelo, Tina Byrd of Nesbit, Mississippi, Jerry Perrigo of Holly Springs, Mickey Joyner, Sr. of Tupelo and Johnny Perrigo of Horn Lake, Mississippi. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ebenezer Cemetery Fund.
