He was predeceased by: his parents, Vira Elizabeth Pharr Pearce and Ellie Reed Pearce; his brothers, Dean and Harold Pearce; and his sister-in-law Virginia Pearce.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Merritt Pearce; his stepchildren, Barry Steward (Tracy), Andrew Steward (Tara) and Valarie Dishman-Merhi (Reef); his grandchildren, Sloan, Sawyer, Stockton, Marlowe, Andie, Todd Steward, Caleb, Anna, Caroline Dishman, Abigail and Carrington Merhi; his mother-in-law Sammie Merritt; and his brother-in-law Robert Merritt (Robin). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
