He is survived by: his sons, James Brooks (Lana) of Tampa, FL and Gary Brooks (Brittany) of Fayetteville, WV; his stepson Bob Frost (Kelly) of Beckley, WV; his grandchildren, Marquis Brooks of Tampa, FL, Scarlett, Sophia, Madeline, Jasmine Brooks of Tampa and Holden Brooks of Fayetteville, WV.; his siblings, Marquis Brooks Jr. (Barbara), Michael Brooks (Catheline), Karen Smith (Mike Hatcher) and Penny Jones (Alvin); and his friend Paulette Whitt of Pontotoc, MS..
