He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Jackson and Erma Hammond Jackson; and his son Jason Paul Root. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Jackson of Tupelo; his children, Chris Root (Kim) of Tupelo, Brandy Lancaster of Tupelo and Stacy Jackson of Pearl; his grandchildren, Alexandra Jackson, Keller Lancaster, Dylan Peschke, Ainsley Roberts, Jackson Root, Stella Root and Charleston Root; and his brother Mike Jackson of Fulton.
