She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery Platt-Howard Ruland and Mildred Kennedy Ruland. She is survived by: her husband James H. Pittman; her pet Nuggett; and her children, Emery Pittman of Tupelo and Bonnie Pittman of Booneville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Booneville Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, 605 Cherry Street, Booneville, MS 38829.
