It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jesse Clift of Tupelo, Mississippi, born in Anadarko, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Weaver Clift and Dora Delphia Lewis Clift; his former spouses, Reba Louella Carroll and Dale Carmack; his wife Elsa Cook Clift of Tupelo; his grandchildren, Karen McVey and Daniel Cook; and his siblings, Homer Clift, Claude Clift, Pauline Patterson, Aline Dekoster, Delbert Clift and Carl Clift.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Blount (Charles) of Guntown, Cindy Jackson (James) of Nettleton, Charlotte Goodwin of Saltillo and Carlene Williams of Madison; his stepchildren, Christi Traughber (Ed) of Florence, Jackie Brown of Pontotoc, Teresa Cook of Tupelo and Vince Cook (Jennifer) of Mooreville; and also Betty Ferson of Grandview, Washington.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
