He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Lee and Mable Shelton; his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Whaley; and his siblings, Steve, Bobby, Wayford, Willard, Otis, Jonah, Suzie, Margarete, Tommie, Pearly and Rosie.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny (Tina), Robert (Johnnie Fae), Jessie (April), Keith (Jenni), Sherry (Billy), Sharon (James) and April (Chris); and his siblings, Wayne (Carol) and Nancy. He is also survived by grandchildren and 51-plus great-grandchildren.
