She was predeceased by: her parents, Ada Cook and John Allen Cook; her sister Ernestine Jewel Cook Mitchell; and her friend Vernon LaRhue. She is survived by: her siblings, Joyce Christine, Joyce Kearney (Edward) and John Thomas Cook of Tupelo, MS; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Desmond Humphries, Exavier Cortez Freeman of Tupelo, MS, Mya Mitchell (Bowie, MD), Jamayla Taylor Cook of Tupelo, MS, Tonya, Tara Kearney, Winda Jones, Nicole Thomas, Keisha Bell, Dewayne Caruthers, Wynshauna LeVere, Haylee Smith, Kole Thomas, SaDaysha Caruthers, Alexis Bell, Edison and Bryson Kearney; and her friend Kenneth Rich.
