With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melissa Mathis Wilcox (Tupelo, Mississippi), who passed away on July 4, 2023 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Lelon Mathis; her parents-in-law, Norman and Ruth Ann Wilcox; and her brother-in-law Don Wilcox. She is survived by: her mother Eleanor Barnes Mathis Shaw (Billy); her husband Bruce Wilcox of Richmond; her children, Ginger Wilcox Parker (Bobby) and Alex Wilcox (Brandy); her grandchildren, Caleb Parker and Madie Wilcox; her great grandchild Ian Parker; her siblings, Teressa Mathis Robinson, Bruce Shaw, Randy Shaw (Kelly) and Wayne Shaw (Bekki); her sister-in-law Pam Armour (Louis); and her nieces and nephews, Amanda Merrill (Adam), Kristyn Martz (Brian), Reid Robinson (Veronika) and Adam Armour (Amanda).
The family asks that memorials be made to the Richmond Baptist Church Building Fund, 172 Road 728, Fulton, MS 38843.
