He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bentley and Stella Goff Elliott; his siblings, Sue Elliott Hodges, Shirley Jo Potter and Charles Bentley Elliott; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby Hodges, Edmund Potter and Jess L. Mark.

He is survived by: his wife Sally Willis Elliott; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Elliott and Josephine Willis Mark; his niece Janice Collins (Mike); his great-nephews, Sean and Ethan (Leigha); his nephew Barry Mark (Ginger); his great-nephew Bennett; and his nephew Ladd Mark (Robin). He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels at Mississippi Methodist Senior Services at 109 South Broadway Street, Tupelo, MS 38804, or Beds for Kids at First United Methodist Church at 412 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804.
