She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie J. Topp and Erene Woods Topp. She is survived by: her children, Janet Battle of Tupelo, MS, Michael Battle of Forest Park, OH and Wendelle Battle of Wilson, NC; and her grandchildren, Marcus Battle of Fairfield, OH, Carl Battle of Greenville, NC and Taylor Battle Reyes (Miguel) of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Her community service: RSVP, America Reads Program, Boys and Girls Club After School Program, worked at the polls for City and County Elections, AARP Tax-Aide Counselor, and Secretary of Tupelo Area AARP Chapter # 433.
