He was predeceased by: his parents, Humpy Houston and Ozell Houston; his wife Nellie Rue Houston (Skeeter); and his siblings, Tommy Houston and Jane Conwill.

He is survived by: his son Tim Houston (Hazel) of Saltillo; his grandsons, Randell Houston of Hot Springs and Rick Houston of Saltillo; his great grandchildren, Ricky Houston (Haley) of Oceanside, John Houston of Oceanside, Sean Houston of Corpus Christi and Paige Houston of Columbus; and his great great grandchild Ivory Houston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
