He is survived by: his children, Colleen Renee Sands of Tennessee, Richard Sands of Wisconsin and David Clifton Sands of Tennessee; and his siblings, Jonathan Sands of Fulton and Linda Patricia "Pat" Summerford (Marvis) of Tremont. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
