She is survived by: her husband John Kirksey of Tupelo; her children, Iris Posey Harris (Bryant) of Pontotoc, MS, Gabe Posey (Bobbi) of Antioch, TN and Timothy Vickers of Tupelo; her grandchildren, Zion, Ethan, Grant, Lily, Hawthorn, Ollie, Jaxon, Sebastian, Rohrer, Gideon, Posey and Issac; and her brother Kye Nichols (Tammy) of Hanford, CA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Covid-19 guidelines with mask requirements will be observed.

“When I came to Florence in June 2009, Penny was my legal assistant for the first six months of my service as an Administrative Law Judge. She made my job and learning how to be a government employee so much easier. A few months later, when my cousin Bill and his wife Ann were bringing my parents to visit for the first time from VA, I learned that we were almost related - she and Ann were college roommates! I was sad when she moved to Tupelo, but were glad that she found happiness with John.”
