He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Amon Murphree (T. A.) and Eva McKibben Murphree; his wife Carol Murphree; his son Thomas Glenn Murphree; and his brother James Don Murphree.
He is survived by: his children, Stacy Murphree (Jennifer) of Madison, AL and Jane Beasley (Terry) of Tupelo, MS; his sister-in-law Virginia Murphree of Teasdale, MS; his grandchildren, Nicholas Beasley (Kendall), Lauren McCoy (Josiah), Kelley Murphree, Allison Newman (Mike), Caleb Murphree (Haley), Noah Murphree and Anna Claire Murphree; and his great grandchildren, Ryland Marie Beasley, Christopher Adam McCoy, Reese Harper Beasley and Thomas Peter Murphree. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
