It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Vaughn Harris of Tupelo, Mississippi, who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tres Van Vaughn, Sr. and Ethelene Bailey Vaughn; her siblings, Nina Mae Vaughn, Viella Vaughn-Banks, Mary A. Pulliam, Effie Ray Vaughn, Annie Mae Jones, Annie Williams, James Vaughn (Susie), Tres Van Vaughn, Jr., Robert Box and Eugene Vaughn, Sr.; her grandson Isaiah Frazier; and her great grandchild Jeremiah T. Nabors.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Harris; her daughters, Shelia Nabors (John), Patreas Frazier and Tandalaya Traylor (Stephen); her grandchildren, John Thomas Nabors, Janson Nabors, Joshua Nabors, Raigan Frazier and Champ Traylor; her great grandchildren, Isaiah Nabors, Isabella Nabors and Ilijah Nabors; her siblings, Othela Vaughn and Ella Vaughn; her niece Ida Hereford (Carl); and her in-laws, George Harris (Claudia), Charles Harris (Dorothy) and Prentiss Harris (Brenda). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Chesterville Church (242 Mount Pleasant Rd, Belden, MS 38826). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
