He was predeceased by: his parents, Heril "Homer" Helms and Pauline Cooper Helms; his son Terrance Trinity; and his siblings, Billy Helms, Henderson Helms and Brenda Cheeks.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Helms; his children, Holly Barnett (Kevin), Marc Helms (Adrianne), Trista Rickman (Tony) and Zach Helms (Hannah); and his sister Shirley Hutcheson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skyline Baptist Church (2868 MS-178, Tupelo, MS 38804). A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
