He was predeceased by: his father Danny L Smith; and his grandparents, Thomas Earl, Dollie Smith, Vaudry and Clara Mae Griffin.
He is survived by: his mother Violet Griffin Smith; his sister Michelle Smith Layton (Kevin S. Layton); his niece Laura Ashton Layton of Tupelo; and his close friend Chris Tollison (Meredith). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations can be made to Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
