She was predeceased by: her parents, Ara Miller and Herman Miller; her daughter Robin Renee Simmons; and her siblings, Charlene Harris, Witt Miller and Grady Miller.
She is survived by: her husband Gill Simmons; her children, Marcus Gill Simmons and Dana Denise Haguewood (Scott); her granddaughters, Simmons Renee Haadsma (David) and Sara Scott Harrelson (Austin); and her great grandchildren, David Kent Haadsma III, Miller Louise Haadsma and George Scott Haadsma.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Jefferson Street Chapel (535 W Jefferson St, Tupelo, MS 38804). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the M. G. Simmons Ability to Succeed Scholarship at Itawamba Community College, 602 W. Hill St., Fulton MS 38843; or Parkgate Pregnancy Clinic, 150 S. Industrial Road, Tupelo MS 38801.
