She was predeceased by : her sister Eugenia Wilemon Bethay. She is survived by : her husband Sidney "Sid" Abernathy; her children, Brad Abernathy (Jenny), Sydney Abernathy and Jason Abernathy (Alyssa); her grandchildren, Jase and JD; and her sister JoAnn Wilemon Westmoreland.
