He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barnett and Ruth Bettersworth Barnett; his wife Joyce Barnett; his son Don Barnett; and his siblings, Marion Barnett and Virginia Gordon.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Sanford of Tupelo; his grandsons, Shane Brown of Meridian and Nick Sanford of Tupelo; his daughter-in-law Pam Barnett; and his great grandchild Mary Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
