He was predeceased by: his parents, Acy Burl and Katie Sue Latham Davis. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Merritt Davis; his daughters, Terri Thomas (Terry), Jamie Gaines and Frankie Prescott (Bill); his siblings, Brenda Kay Kelley (Frank), Anita Hill (Larry), Debbie McIntire (Joe) and James Ealy Davis (Cindy); and his grandchildren, Megan Thomas, Jonah Thomas, Weston White, Savannah Browning, Meredith Cooper (Jack) and Mayes Prescott. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the United Funeral Service, Inc. (700 MS-15, New Albany, MS 38652).
