She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wilburn Timbes and Gladys Schubert Timbes; and her husband William "Bill" Clinton Mathews Jr.. She is survived by: her children, William Clinton "Matt" Mathews, III (Mary) of Magnolia, Lisa Mathews Wiygul (Jim) of Tupelo and Gay Mathews Ramsey (Scott) of Tupelo; her grandchildren, James Coleman "Cole" Wiygul (Bridget) of Tupelo, William Jess Wiygul (Katie) of Tupelo, Jessica Ramsey Burke (Luke) of Tupelo and Tyler Mathews Ramsey of Oxford; and her sister Cathy Sparks. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the All Saints Episcopal Church (608 W Jefferson St, Tupelo, MS 38804). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
