He was predeceased by: his parents, Esker Plunkett and Bertha Cantrell Plunkett; his wife Nellogean Plunkett; and his children, Jerry Daniel Plunkett, William Wayne Plunkett, Ronnie Plunkett and Tony Lee Plunkett.

He is survived by: his children, Tommy Plunkett of Savannah, Bertha Akins of Rogers, Ark, Linda Clardy (Earnest) of Tupelo, Brenda Faughn (Terry) of Forest City, Donnie Plunkett (Becky) of Amory, Rickey Dale Plunkett (Danielle) of Bentonville and Mickey Plunkett (Tanya) of Memphis, Tenn.. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren, 35 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
