She was predeceased by: her husband Elmore Staples; her daughter Gloria Linda Dixon; her parents, Minerva Evans and Gussie Lee Evans (Jack); her mother-in-law Nancy Staples; her daughter-in-law Hazel Staple; and her great grandchildren, Xavier Staples and Eddric Gates.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Burt of Saltillo, Sue Hill of Tupelo, Carolyn Waller of Belden, Nancy Cunningham (Tommy) of Saltillo, Eugene Staples of Saltillo and Dimitri Marion (Teresa) of Bullard. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
