He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Rushing and Eula Boyd Rushing; and his wife Arey Dean Sorrell Rushing. He is survived by: his sons, Bradley Rushing (Kara) and Trent Rushing (Lacey); his grandchildren, Dylan Rushing, Tyler Rushing (Siara), Caden Rushing (Kensley), Tyson Rushing (Jenny), Logan Rushing (Brooke) and Alivia Davis (Devin); his great grandchildren, AJ Rushing, Chesley Rushing, Lorelai Rushing and Eri Rushing; his sister Polly Boyd; and his sister-in-law Jean Ball. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hartman Hughes Funeral Home (412 Beulah Ave, Tylertown, MS 39667). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home (412 Beulah Ave, Tylertown, MS 39667). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM at the Union Church Cemetery (37012 Bill Simmons Rd, Mt Hermon, LA 70450).
