She was predeceased by: her parents, H. V. Beard and L'Marie Breland Beard; her husband James "Jimmy" Kemp; her daughter Donna M. Lewis; her granddaughter Katie Marie Kemp; and her siblings, Drexel Huhn, Harold Linwood Beard and John Leslie Beard.
She is survived by: her sons, David B. Kemp (Susan) and James H. Kemp (Mary Ann). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
