He is survived by: his children, Gary L. Holmes, Jr., Russell "Rusty" W. Holmes (Kristine), Richard Dana Holmes and Brad Dustin Holmes, Sr. (Lacey); his grandchildren, Brad Dustin Holmes, Jr., Brody Lee Holmes and Chris Laurence Flores; and his sister Barbara Ann Johnston (Aaron). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hartman-Jones Funeral Home (412 Beulah Ave, Tylertown, MS 39667). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
