With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George E Shoemaker of Tylertown, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2026 at the age of 84. Though George may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Shoemaker and Grace Popwell Shoemaker; his wife Linda Pittman Shoemaker; and his siblings, Joe Shoemaker and Fannie Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Darby Shoemaker (Susan), Marcy Johnson (Jason) and Joey Smith (Michael); and his sister Patsy Brumfield.
