It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur McRae Nester (Union, Mississippi), who passed away on August 9, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Arthur McRae Nester to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Nester and Annette Nester; his former life partner Pattie Nester; and his stepson Anthony Crofford. He is survived by : his wife Sue Nester; his stepdaughter Amy Walker (Shawn) of Brandon, MS; his stepdaughters-in-law, Paula Crofford of Pearl, MS, Victoria Carr (Adam), Elizabeth, Courtney Coulter of Brandon, Hunter and Julianna Crofford of Carthage, MS; his great grandchild Raeleigh Madison Carr of Brandon, MS; and his siblings, James Ray Nester (Judy) of Dallas, TX and Martha Sue Kirkland of Dekalb. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces and friends.

His leadership skills shined throughout his life and those contributions to his beloved Kemper County.
